Making the grade with your kids
TLC ELC adopts and expands on the learning standards set up by the Bloomington School District. Our teachers adapt the instruction to each student’s learning style, and thus provide a warm and supportive environment so each child can reach his or her fullest potential. Each child is encouraged to develop their academic skills, their work habit, and their problem solving skills. Through a wealth of hands-on experiences, as well as planned and spontaneous activities, the children develop a natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. We also refer to the Creative Curriculum as well as ongoing assessment of the children to provide what they need individually to prepare them for future success.

“TLC’s preschool/Kinder+ program is excellent - very small class size, creative lessons, and wonderful field trips (studying the seasons at the Arboretum, painting on the underside of a table to learn about Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel, science experiments, pretend trips around the world, etc.) all make this the best choice for little ones getting ready for school. ”
