starting with love

Babies grow and develop at different rates, so lesson plans are developed with individual needs in mind. Goals are set for each child, such as sitting unassisted or tummy time. These goals help the Turtle Room staff focus on the needs of your children and chart their respective growth. As the children grow, the Turtle Room staff introduces them to sitting in high chairs, starting to feed themselves, using a spoon and drinking out of a sippy cup. They also are introduced to sensory, gross motor and fine motor activities, as well as art and language skills. Sign language also is introduced at about seven months of age, for simple words such as “more,” “all done,” and “drink.” We use the Creative Curriculum as the framework to base our curriculum on as well as on-going assessment of the children to provide what they need individually.

Individualized attention

what parents of infants are saying…

“The Turtle Room staff worked around our daughter’s eating concerns and consulted with us regarding any developmental issues.  We felt that TLC was the best, most caring, and loving location for our family.”
Krissy Nelson
