The staff at TLC-ELC did an interactive, multi-media, community exploratory activity – explaining Accreditation through pictures and easily found objects. It was a fun way to review the different criteria of NAEYC’s Accreditation that involved the staff and the families (who voted on their favorite display).
All of the staff did a wonderful job of showing imagination and teamwork. They were randomly broken into teams, had to come up with their own team names, then went into the Bloomington community to take pictures that would represent the diffferent criteria. Later they made up their displays. There were many positive comments from the families. The displays were set up and voted on during the Thanksgiving family lunch.
