Every August, TLC ELC closes for 2 days. We do this so the staff can attend training and staff meetings, as well as clean and organize the classrooms for the new year!
This year, all staff attended training for first-aid and bloodborne pathogens. Pictured above, Colin is getting a demonstration on how to apply a splint.
Toys are taken off the shelves and washed.
We were surprised with a special treat from the parents! (Thank you Becky Kramer for organizing “Project Thanks”) Parents brought in wrapped gifts all week long, and the staff got to play the dice game. Each staff received 3 gifts! Gifts included mugs, notepads, gift cards etc… Thank you, parents!! We were overwhelmed at your generosity!
Then, back to the cleaning. All of the walls, cubbies, chairs and tables were scrubbed. Someone was even lucky enough to be assigned the task of cleaning the bathrooms!
After many long hours spent in training, and cleaning and organizing, we are ready for the “new year”!
