Purple is the Color of Wednesday at VBS

On Wednesday we learned about being a neighbor and how that means more than just who you lived by.  We heard and acted out the story of the Good Samaritan.  We tried to explain the relationship between the Israelites and the Samaritans by compairing them to the Vikings and the Packers, something the children could relate to.

Pastor Stephanie read the story to the younger elementary kids, she also had a
volunteer actor to illustrate her points.

The oldest group counts the offering, food given for VEAP and box tops that come in. They also prepare the closing skits.

The youngest group heard another version of the story from Miss Tracy – I wonder what surprise was in her special basket?

The preschoolers are learning the Bible verse: Love the LORD God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. Here Jonah is showing us the sign for mind.

Art is always an important part of VBS

The Duck Tape group loves dancing with the music during the closing activities.
