The kindergarteners went down to the Farmer’s Market in Minneapolis yesterday to see many wonders of God’s creation. One item they purchased was kale to make into kale chips. The cleaned the kale, added the necessary oil and salt and then baked them. Later they each tried the chips. Some they liked, some they didn’t, but all of them tried. Later they explored the flowers they had purchased at the Farmer’s Market and each child painted a still life of the flowers.
They had 4 different types of kale.
It was washed
They took turns tossing the oil and sat in with the kale
They ripped the kale into pieces and laid it out to bake.
They each tried the chips
Some of the children liked the kale, some didn’t, but they all tried it.
While some children were painting a still life of the flowers, others were exploring them
The insides of the flowers are interesting.
We made our own still life of the flowers
Mixing the paints was fun
She saw a lot of detail
God created the flowers on the 3rd day
