The Duck Tapes went to Moir Park to have outdoor pictures taken by WigstadtPhotography of the children. Mrs. Tracy made it a day of discovery and fun while they waiting for their turn at having their pictures taken. What do you have when you staple 3 baggies in a file folder – the basis of a homemade nature book. Each child was given their “book” and a “spy glass” to look for things in nature to put in their books – acorns, leaves, bark, ants (they were found but not caught for their bags), rocks and even a few pennies.
Look at the pictures and see the fun they had that day.
Ants were found at the base of the trees.
The original toy – a stick – there are a lot of things you can do with a stick.
Treasures for her books, grass stains for her pants.
It was a great place to run.
Snacks were supplied for those who were hungry.
She is so proud of her nature book, especially the penny she found.
Suzy Wigstadt took the photos of the children.
They are great looking kids.
We even had a dad and baby sister come along.
Fun on the climber
Even the bus ride is a time of learning – matching the correct color of seat belts to know what ends go together.
