Duck Tape trip to the Minnesota Transportation Museum

If your child is interested in trains or history – or if you just like a great thing to do with your family the MTM is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  It is an amazing place to go.  The Duck Tapes went to visit the many different trains and other forms of transportation on a recent field trip.  It was part of a unit about trains.

Besides this field trip, they painted model trains, made their own personal train car out of cardboard boxes that they could wear, then they “hooked” together to make a train parade. On another day they went to one child’s house and watched the real train rumble past his back yard while they were all perched in his supersized tree house.  They also played with the “train” at the local playground and visited the model train museum.  It’s been a great couple of weeks.
