Nature Play

The DuckTail class took a field trip to Woodlake Nature Center.  After a nature hike along one of the paths, they also had a chance to play in the “natural play area”, which includes a large open area with sticks, rocks, trees, logs etc… for the children to build and play with.  The DuckTails had a great time building a house, climbing the hill, collecting leaves, using their imaginiation to  build a pretend camp fire and roasting pretend marshmallows, using large rocks as a stage and performing a concert, using team work to move larger rocks and logs to different areas.  This was a great area for them to exercise their creativity and imagination as well as using their large motor skills.
