The Penguin class has enjoyed some fall activities this month. The Penguins had fun painting with decorative corn, exploring a sliced up pumpkin and playing with pumpkin puree.
Sensory activities such as playing with pumpkin puree and painting with fingers and exploring decorative corn and pumpkins are important for a child’s development. Sensory play engages all of the senses, and can be calming to children. It also encourages exploration and discovery.
