The Aardvarks went to the Heritage Public Library in Lakeville on Monday, April 21st. The day was beautiful and everyone was excited about getting out and about. The Aardvark class took a field trip to Good Times Park in Eagan. The park is indoors and has a climber, a bouncer, basketball court, soccer field, hula hoops and more!
The Early Learning Center children took part in the Children’s Good Friday Service at Transfiguration Lutheran Church. Parents, grandparents and family friends came to the service as well as many of Transfiguration’s families who also took part in the service. Renee Jefferson, Education Director, led the service. The Children at TLC-ELC have chapel twice a month and this Monday they were able to participate in Jesus’ Big Parade. Everyone was given a palm branch and they interacted with the story.
Thank you to all of the board members who brought in treats for the teachers during the Week Of the Young Child. They were much appreciated! On Wednesday, we dressed in BLUE joined together in a parade around the neighborhood! We were joined by Jim Sorum (grandfather to one of our preschoolers) who acted as our “grand marshal” leading us in his BLUE convertible. We were lucky to have such a beautiful, sunny day! During Spring break, the Kids’ Create Stuido visited the TAC classroom. Peter from Kids Create taught us about Pablo Picasso and his style of art. Each of the kids had a chance to draw and paint their own Picasso style portrait on canvas. What a fun day!
We are all enjoying the sun and warmer temperatures It was so much fun to be outside digging in the rocks, playing on the climber and decorating the parking lot with sidewalk chalk!
During Spring break, the TAC kids each had a chance to create two different Spring themed art projects. Using crayons, scissors, glue, paper and water colors, they made construction paper flowers in vases and portraits of themselves standing in the rain with umbrellas!
